Joan was born on November 5, 1960, in Alabany, New York, to Allan and Margaret Kinnear. As the second youngest of six children, Joan always spoke fondly of her childhood growing up and she truly loved being part of such a large and caring family. After several moves with her family, Joan found herself in Marysville. Here she would meet the love of her life, John F. Wilkins. They were married June 27, 1983, and had an incredible journey of 27 years that brought with it what Joan said was always her biggest accomplishment, her three sons, John, Kevin, and Kyle. Some of Joan’s other accomplishments were: organizing donations for the Cocoon House with colleagues at Marysville libraries, winning a Gold Acorn award for her dedication to Shoultes PTA, and being the biggest and most positive Silvertips fan ever. <br>Joan will be remembered, loved and missed by her husband, John; sons, John, Kevin and Kyle; mother, Margaret Kinnear; brothers, Allan (Diane), Doug (Peggy) and Jim; sisters, Mary and Patty; and numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends. She was an incredible daughter, wife, friend, aunt, and the best mother anyone could ever ask for. <br>A service celebrating the amazing life Joan lived will be at 4:00 p.m., on September 4 at the Ken Baxter Senior Center, 514, Delta Ave in Marysville. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed her grandchildren. She lived with Hilda Taylor, her second daughter in Marysville since February 2003. On April 14 she went to live at Ruth Rooslet’s house her third daughter.  She enjoyed going to the library, beach, different events in the community. Including the POW-WOW, Mexican Fiesta’s, Concerts in the park. She gave to divers charities including, march of dimes, veterans, food bank, the Iglesia de Cristo in Las Vegas, NV. She lived in Yakima, WA. and worked as a room attendant for several years. She was a faithful wife. A loving mother. They lived in Arlington before moving to Bremerton in 1958, then Port Orchard in 1961. She was a homemaker until she went to work as a Supply Technician for the Fleet Industrial Supply Center and retired. She designed their dream home and they had it built in 1972.  <br>She enjoyed drawing and painting, reading, gardening, camping, square dancing, journaling, cards and cooking pies. She enjoyed time with her friends at Givens Senior Center.  <br>She is survived by son Donn (Sherry) of Port Orchard, sisters Hazel Levens and Edna Sebers both of Everett. Grandchildren Andrew, Marissa, and Amanda of Port Orchard. Step Daughter Loretta Bates of Arlington and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952.  While attending Pacific Lutheran College, he met Sharol Lawson.  They were married September 3rd, 1955.  He graduated, Cum Laude in 1956.  In 1960 he graduated from University of Washington Medical School with thesis honors.  His thesis, “The Relationship of Physical Illness to Suicide”, was later used as a chapter in a text book in psychiatry entitled “Suicide: Its Diagnosis and Management.”   He interned at Mountainview General Hospital in Tacoma.    In 1961, Bill and Sharol moved their family to Selah, WA, where Bill entered general medical practice.  A few months later, he was drafted into the United States Army and was assigned to the Pediatrics Department at Madigan General Hospital near Fort Lewis until 1963.  Again he entered general practice and remained in the town of Selah until 1966, when he was accepted by the University of Minnesota Medical School for his residency training in Dermatology.  He completed his training in dermatology at the Royal Infirmary at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland in an exchange program.  He began his practice in dermatology in Yakima, WA, in 1969 and continued there until 1976.  From 1976 until retiring in 2000 he practiced dermatology in Everett, Marysville and Arlington.  He enjoyed dermatology and getting to know his patients; always taking time to visit with them.      <br> Bill was an avid student of the Bible and loved to share his knowledge and faith with others.  He had a passion for travel, cultures and languages.  He visited over 20 countries in Europe and Asia.  His greatest joy was spending time with his 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, taking them for nature walks and playing games.  He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.  <br>  Bill is survived by his loving wife Sharol of 54 years, his five children Peter (Dawn), Ruth (Bill Klein), Mark, and Becky (Kurt Kenworthy) of Arlington and Paul (Peggy) of The Dalles, OR, his brother Gary (Mardele) of Kent and his sister Patricia (Mike Iverson) of Everett.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ethel Anderson, his daughter in law Marie Anderson, and his son Daniel.  <br>  The funeral service was held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 7th at the Arlington Gospel Hall. He was born on February 11, 1946 in Huntington, New York, the son of William and Susan (Cornell) Booker. Bill was proud to have served his country as a young man stationed in Korea with the U.S. Army.  He spent the last 20 years of his life building an insurance agency with Farmer’s Insurance in Mt. Vernon, Washington.  Some of Bill and Robin’s happiest times together were spent “digging in the dirt” in their lovely, flower-laden garden so enjoyed by all who visited their home.  Bill also loved to cook, read, golf, work on small yard and household projects (which earned him the nickname “Mr. Fix It”), watch a good movie, watch the eagles from his home on Camano Island and, above all,  spend time together with his wife and extended family and friends.  He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.   After 21 wonderful years of marriage, Bill is survived by the love of his life, wife Robin Booker, who made his life meaningful and happy. He was a loving step-father to Kamrin Eriksen Huban, who he always thought of as his own daughter, and father-in-law to Eric Huban.  Bill was very much looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild, due later this year.  He is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Larry Elmen, a brother and sister-in-law,  Ed and Arnelle Booker, a brother-in-law, Mike Irenze, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Judy Mathison and Charles Pickens, 12 nieces and nephews, and 18 grand nieces and nephews.  A Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 8th, 2010 at Kern Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Washington.  Burial took place at Grand View Cemetery in Anacortes on Monday, August 9, 2010. She was born March 2, 1922 in Arlington, WA to John and Marjorie Martin. She attended Arlington Schools and married Ralph Hershaw January 13, 1939. They resided for many years on their farm on Edgecomb Hill where they raised their family. Peggy enjoyed being a Cub Scout leader and 4-H leader, working in the cafeteria in the high school later on. In 1963 she bought Russell’s Flower Shop and owned and operated Peg’s Floral until 1968 when they moved to Camano Island. There they enjoyed smelting, fishing, crabbing and the fresh salt air. From there they moved to Chihuahua Pines near Leavenworth for a total change of scenery. They were quite active in the community there, founding a snowmobiling club and teaching snowmobile safety classes to the youngsters; which, took up a lot of their time as did opening their swimming pool to the neighborhood kids in the summer. <br>Due to health they moved to Sedro Woolley on their son Bill’s farm in 1987. Gardening was a great hobby of Peg’s and her love of flowers certainly showed in her yard and garden. She was a wonderful cook and known for her “conkadoodle,” coleslaw, and the raisin cakes she baked for her boys. One of her favorite pastimes was playing Skip-Bo with the grandkids and making sure the cookie jar was always full. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents John and Marjorie Martin, and her husband Ralph. She is survived by a sister, Jean Rose of Marysville, sister-in-law Stella (Bill) Jensen of Arlington, as well as her children, John of Woodburn, Oregon, Dick (Tina) of Republic, WA, Judy Sievers (Bill) of Marysville, Bill (Suella) of Sedro Woolley and Cameron (Marcia) of Washougal, WA. She leaves a legacy of 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Lord died July 10, 2010. <br>Millard Albert Lord, 94, was the child of Wilhelmina and Albert Lord. He was born on July 31, 1915, in Everson, Washington, but his family moved to Bellingham during the early years of his life. There he attended school and graduated from Whatcom High School. He was employed in Bellingham until the United States entered World War II. He enlisted in the Navy and served two years in the South Pacific aboard the destroyer, the USS Case. After his discharge, he returned to Bellingham to work and attend Western Washington University. There he met and married his wife, Margaret. They moved to Pullman where he enrolled and graduated, with honors, from Washington State University.  <br>Following his college graduation, he signed a contract to teach in Arlington where he spent the next twenty-eight years as a math and industrial arts teacher, counselor, and finally, vice-principal of Arlington High School. Always interested in sports, he was, for many years, the announcer at the high school football and basketball games. His evenings were also spent at dramatic and musical events at the high school. He was a popular and admired teacher and administrator. <br>During his time in Arlington, Millard belonged to the City Civil Service Commission, the Library Board, American Legion, Lions Club, and Arlington United Church. For several years, he coached Little League Baseball and Basketball. Millard enjoyed a regular golf foursome and was a familiar figure in local golf clubs. His other love was his home and he was known for his beautiful lawn and flowers. <br>Millard leaves Margaret, his beloved wife of 63 years, a daughter, Susan Porter (Kent), of Bothell, son, Robert M. Lord, of Lake Forest Park, and two grandchildren, Marisa Snyder (Brian) and Anthony Porter (Kilie). The family invites those who knew him to join them for coffee at the Arlington United Church social hall on Wednesday, July 28, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. He just started playing t-ball and was very good at it. He loved to wrestle with his big brother. He loved to kiss his baby brother. He loved to help Daddy and Mommy and snuggle with them. He spent his early childhood on the family farm. He graduated from Oakridge High School in 1961 where he had met the love of his life, Paula Lea Hankins,at the tender age of 16. Shortly after graduation, he completed the welding program at Columbia Basin College and moved to Seattle. Darwin and Paula were married in Oakridge, OR on August 24, 1963. He was employed at Lockheed shipyards until 1965, when at the age of 23, he founded  <br>B & B Fabricators. Bergi had two great passions in his life — his family and his business. Darwin was a man of unquestionable integrity and honesty. His word was better than any written contract and his handshake could bring you to your knees. His faith in Christ was an inspiration and clearly guided his life as a husband, father, mentor and employer. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Paula, his sons Brian and fiancé Rocio, Mark and wife Renee, Todd and wife Jody and his daughter Darla and husband Colby Woolman. He was Papa Darlin’ to his grand-babies: Mariah, Aleah, Isaac, Keira, Ethan, Victoria, Christian, Kristina, and John and couldn’t wait to meet his newest grand-baby due in November. He is also survived by four sisters, one brother and countless nieces and nephews. <br>A memorial service was held at 2 o’clock on Saturday, June 26th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Marysville, WA.
