He attended Enumclaw schools, graduating in 1967. Six months later he enlisted in the Air Force. He served for four years, including 18 months in Vietnam, an experience which had a profound, lifelong impact. In 1971, after receiving his honorable discharge, he returned to Enumclaw. He worked as a mechanic at his family’s Union station on Griffin Avenue. He loved to work in the yard and grow vegetables. She grew up in Helena, Mont., and spent many years in Billings, Mont., before moving to the Puyallup area in the 1980s. She worked at the John L. Scott real estate office in Enumclaw and loved camping, fishing, four-wheeling, boating, gardening and attending a good party. <br>She is survived by husband Tom Parr of Bonney Lake; son Lance Koehler of Orting; daughter Jennifer Parr of Kennewick; sisters Vickie Smith of Kirkland, Wash., and Lee and husband Tom Hoemann of Olympia, Wash.; brother Lary Smith and wife Jo Ann of Portland, Ore.; and one grandchild.  <br>She was preceded in death by her parents Max and Wilma Baker Smith and her brothers Alan, Bill and Cletus. <br>A memorial service and lunch to celebrate her life took place at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at Rainier Hills Christian Fellowship, 23711 Entwhistle Rd.
