They enjoyed friendship and good times with family and co-workers at Bethlehem Copper, and after Carlos’s retirement they pursued their hobbies and visited friends in southern B.C. Eliana loved to sew and do needlework, and she created wonderful pieces of fine handwork that are now her legacies to the friends she treasured. <br>A Celebration of Life was held at the Ashcroft Extended Care on July 25. A funeral mass was celebrated at St. Gerard Catholic Church by Father Arsenio Balmaceda Jr. on July 29, followed by a graveside blessing and placing of her ashes beside those of Carlos. Jack spent his lifetime in the ranching industry, managing the Empire Valley Ranch before taking over the BC Cattle Company at Canoe Creek.  Jack managed BC Cattle Co., where he resided until 2007 when he moved to Kamloops.  As part of a pioneering ranching family, he was well respected in the BC cattle industry. <br>Jack was predeceased by Shirley, his wife of 59 years, and son Matthew.  He is survived by children: Dave (Sue) Koster, Marie (Lee) Bolster, Warren (Selina) Koster, Henry Koster, Theresa (Lawrence) Williams, Ben (Mary June) Koster and Ruth (Mardy) Grinder, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. <br>The Reverend Father Peter Nguyen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving daughters, Tyra Rae Schalles (Nic) and Bobbi-Lynn Collins and their father Jimmie Collins; her mother and step-father Helene and Bud Cade; brothers Chuck (Katy), Ray (Jody), Ken (Teri) Dougherty, step sisters Sheryl (Wayne) Walch and Colleen (John) Engelhart and special older “sister`` Dawn (Murray) Smith, eight aunts, one uncle, 48 cousins, many nieces and nephews and many good friends. She was predeceased by her father Charles Dougherty in 1973. <br>A Celebration of Linda’s life was held at the Clinton Elementary School on June 30th and a Funeral Mass was celebrated by Father Ignatius Arsenius on July 9th, followed by the placing of her ashes beside those of her father at the `Little Ranch` above Maiden Creek. <br>Linda fought a courageous battle for the last seven years. Seven great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson. Predeceased by her husbands Art and Rocky and daughter Dorothy. <br>Evelyn was born in Vermilion, Alberta and moved to Vancouver as a child. She eventually married and had her children Dorothy and Thomas. She was active in Scouting and the church. <br>After she was widowed she married Rocky and moved to Ashcroft and became an active Ladies Auxiliary member while spending many summers with her grandchildren at Green Lake.
