Passed away peacefully at home on August 30, 2010 at the age of 48 years. He was predeceased by his mother Betty Klassen in March, 2000. He is survived by his loving family, wife Nina, 5 children; Kyler, Kody, Kaija, Kasey and Kolton. He is also survived by 2 sisters; Karen Klassen and Kristine Stacey, and 3 nephews Jeff, Jason and amie Hamilton. A private, family graveside service will take place. Friends and family are invited to a gathering in Kurt\'s memory at the Klassen family home on Friday, September 3rd at 3:00 p.m. The family would like to especially thank the doctors and nurses at St. Paul\'s Hospital for their years of care for Kurt. Born January 21, 1914 in Roblin, MB. Passed away peacefully at Kelowna General Hospital on Monday, August 30, 2010 at the age of 96. Survived by her daughter Margo (Bob) Waterman of Campbell River, her son Rodney of Kelowna, her granddaughter Megan Waterman (Jake Duncan) of Dawson City, Yukon, (great grandchildren Rory and Beatrix), granddaughter Erin Waterman (Dom Lloyd) of Winnipeg, MB, (great granddaughter Scarlett), her brother Orville (Beth) Dunlop of Parksville, her sister Lois (Ian) Philp of Vernon, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Sadly predeceased by her husband Brian in 1969 in Mission, BC, her sister Norma Freeborn of Oyama in 1978 and her sister Evelyn Hofford of Hillier, ON in 2004. Special thanks to the staff at Borden Manor and David Lloyd Jones Home, to Dr. Yarrow and to the staff at 2E at Kelowna General Hospital for their loving care. Vera worked as a hairdresser in Roblin, MB before moving to Listowel, ON, then to Toronto, ON where she met and married Brian in 1944. They then moved to Dewdney, BC the same year where they farmed chickens and berries for a few years and experienced the flood of the Fraser River in 1948. Vera worked for Westvale foods for a number of years before retiring and moving to Kelowna in 1975. She enjoyed family and friends, sewing and crocheting doilies. Vera will be sadly missed. Marjorie, born July 23, 1928, in Haney, BC passed away peacefully Sunday, August 29, 2010 after a lengthy illness surrounded by family.
Predeceased by her daughter Diana Lynn, Marj. will be missed by: her loving husband Harold; beloved children Donald, Gail, and Sharen; beloved grandchildren Thomas, Alesha, Brittany, Krista, Liam, and Jennifer; and all who knew her. Marj was a gentle, kind person with a warm heart and beautiful smile. We are comforted knowing she will have good company in heaven with her beloved Diana and her parents.
A burial service will be held at 11 am on September 2nd at Greendale Cemetery followed at 12:30 pm by service at Trinity Lutheran Church at 3845 Gladwin Road in Abbotsford. The family extends a special thanks to all the medical staff who were there for her in her time of need. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Society in Marjorie\'s name.

Mrs. Betty Srigley late of Abbotsford, BC passed away on August 21, 2010 at the age of 92 at Menno Hospital. She is survived by her three sons.
She was predeceased by her daughter Barbara and her sons Tim and Wayne. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Henderson\'s Fraser Valley Funeral Home at 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC.
Interment will be held at Union Cemetery in Barrie, Ontario.

Mum has left our lives in her 85th year to go and dance amongst the stars with her beloved husband Bill. She has also gone to join her parents Elizabeth and John Oberster, many brothers and sisters, her infant grandsons, Troy and Christopher and son-in-law Vince. Betty was a long time Missionite whose working career included the Ferndale General Store, Nicks Hi-Lite Burger Bar and becoming an accomplished hair stylist, first working at Alice’s and then proudly opening her own business “Betty’s Beauty Salon”. Mum’s wonderful creativity and impeccable style always showed in her personal attire and her warm home décor. When visiting with Mum you were always greeted with an abundance of food, a cup of tea and a full candy dish of rosebuds. Left to carry on are her children Garry, Gordon, Rick(Patti), Sherrie, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, her brothers Hank (Grace), Arne (Lil) and sisters Anne and Jean. A private tea was held in Mum’s honour.
Gone but never forgotten. In our hearts forever. Love from your children and family.

Susan was a daughter, sister, aunt, wife and mother. She was very involved in the school and was proud to be a hockey and golf mom to Kyle. She loved keeping score.
Susan loved life and all those who were a part of it. She was a great cook and loved to entertain, and host holiday dinners. Time spent in Kelowna with family was always a highlight.
Susan was predeceased by her mother Flo McMartin. She is lovingly remembered and survived by her father Donald, husband Dan, son Kyle, sister Donna, brother Jay and many relatives.

Helen Bergen, formerly of Sonningdale SK., currently residing in Warburg Alberta, passed away peacefully on August 24th. 2010 at the age of 94. She is lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Cloverleaf Manor in Warburg AB., for their care and attention to Mom and the Leduc hospital for their compassion and care.

STANCZYK, Aniela (Nellie), (nee Kokoska), passed away peacefully at the ECU of Mission Memorial Hospital on August 23, 2010 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband (Jan) John in 1972. Nellie was born on March 27th 1921 in Nisko, Poland and emigrated with her family in 1927 to farm in the Peace River country near Tee Pee Creek on the banks of the Smoky River. In 1935 she moved to the Durieu/Hatzic Prairie area where she met her husband John; together they operated a dairy farm on Durieu Road and raised 7 children. She is survived by her children Anna (Tom), Lawrence (Irene), Edward, Felixa (Dave), Malvina (Lewis), Irene, Gordon (Judy), 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grand children, 1 sister and 1brother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 32550 7th ave, Mission, on Saturday August 28th 2010 at 11:00am. Internment to follow at the Hatzic Cemetery with tea to follow at St. Joseph’s. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mission Health Care Auxiliary. The family would like to thank Dr. Finch and Dr. Patel for their years of excellent care and also much thanks and appreciation to the ECU staff for their wonderful care.
