A resident of Puyallup, WA, Sharla was raised in Federal Way, WA, attended Decatur High School, and graduated from Federal Way High School in 1982. She is survived by her mother, Susan Florence-Obrien, and her stepfather, Bruce O’Brien; children Kelli Tudor (Philip), Jessica Harnish (Ryan), Daniel Drake (Julie) and Chase Zahnow; grandchildren Victoria and Braiden Drake, and Oakley Tudor; brother Michael Florence (Anita), sister’s Karri Singsaas (John) and Michelle Sims (Corey Solsten); devoted former husband Brian Zahnow; family and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded to God’s Heavenly Home by her beloved father and grandparents. Sharla will be remembered for her boundless energy and her unconditional love and kindness to all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Christ Lutheran Church, 2501 S.W. 320th Street, Federal Way. Saromines, 83, a 23-year resident of Federal Way, died on Aug. 22, 2010, in Federal Way, WA. Narita and husband Colin moved to Federal Way from Honolulu, Hawaii, where they had lived for many years. She was born on May 13, 1927, in Cebu City, Philippines. They would have been married 28 years on Sept. 17, 2010. She worked for O’Berto in Federal Way for 7 years. Narita loved music, dancing and was a good singer. She was a member of Christian Faith Center, and received numerous awards for her volunteer work over the years. Leland Pease was born in Vandalia, Mo., on Feb. 20, 1918. At a young age, his family moved to Chelan, Wash., where he continued to reside until he left in 1941 to attend North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, Minn. It was there he met Janet D. Bingham from Orange, N.J., whom he married in 1943.  <br>When he and his wife Janet moved to Federal Way in the late 1940s, there was one grocery store, one gas station and a small drive-up hamburger place called the Grotto. They made Federal Way their home until 1972. In 1960, Pease opened his own business on Highway 99, Pease Floor Covering, which he continued to operate until the early 1970s. <br>Pease and his wife moved to Anchorage, Alaska, in 1972, where he continued in the floor covering business as a carpet salesman until his retirement in 1980. For the last three years of his life, he lived with his daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Jay Thielen in Spokane. <br>His wife Janet preceded him in death in 2001. Sources say Schrader suffered a heart attack and died at St. Francis Hospital. <br>He was born Nov. 6, 1948.  He graduated from Glacier High School in 1967. He also graduated from University of Puget Sound in 1971. <br>The Federal Way resident served as chairman for the 30th District Republicans as well as a precinct committee officer and state delegate. He was heavily involved in local campaigns and had volunteered on behalf of numerous candidates, past and present. He also served as a past president of Federal Way Kiwanis. <br>\"Many (including me) in our local community owe a great deal of their political success to his hard work and dedication on our behalf,\" said friend and Lakehaven commissioner Len Englund in an e-mail. \"He was a cheerful and selfless giver of time and talents. She worked in Great Falls and the greater Seattle area in <br>Women’s Health Care over the next 30 years. <br>Susan and Tom married in Great Falls in Feb 1986 and moved to Western <br>Washington after the wedding. Susan enjoyed many activities including shopping, <br>reading, writing, water and snow skiing and camping. Susan loved her husband, <br>daughters, parents, siblings, relatives, and friends with all her heart. Susan enjoyed <br>gatherings in Montana for holidays with family and was a staple at the CM Russell <br>Stampede in Stanford, MT every summer over the last 35+ years. Even with <br>Susan departing this world too soon she has left a lasting impression with the <br>many people she met in her adventures.
